Biography

Dr. Paul de Vrieze is a principal academic in the faculty of science and technology at Bournemouth University. He is the coordinator of EU H2020 FIRST project. Previously he was a Senior Researcher at SAP research, Switzerland, and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CSIRO ICT Centre, Australia. He received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands in 2006.

Research

My research focuses on the design and implementation of complex enterprise information systems and their contexts, in particular when it involves (business processes). I am especially interested in how best to support business in executing processes and how automation of processes, especially cross-organizational processes, can be integrated into the systems design process. My most recent work has focused on applying this in an Industrial context.
