Abstract:With recent changes in the revised framework for post-qualifying social work education, it is important that course providers and workforce development managers are aware of who their students are so that they can provide relevant, accessible programmes that result in competent, reflective practitioners. This article gives an account of the profiles of candidates who registered for PQSW programmes with Bournemouth University between 2001 and 2007 and looks at the implications of the findings.
