Biography

Tikki Immins is Research Development Manager at the Orthopaedic Research Institute (ORI). Her role involves research design, management and delivery of ORI's clinical trials in the university and NHS; liaising with the NHS, industry partners and external funders on current and prospective research; and managing ethical and governance permissions within the NHS and the university. Tikki also coordinates submissions to funding bodies such as NIHR and Arthritis Research UK.

Tikki has a broad range of expertise and experience in medical research. She gained a Masters in Epidemiology at University of Edinburgh in 2005, and since has worked in research at Bournemouth University in social work education, medical education and clinical research, apart from taking 3 years out at Southampton University. Here she worked at the Clinical Trials Unit as a coordinator on an international multi-site cancer study, and as a Programme Manager at the NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC).
