Biography

Richard Page is Programme Leader of BA (Hons) Photography at Bournemouth University. An award-winning photographer, he has exhibited and published his photographic work widely. He received the Urbanautica Institute Award for Visual Anthropology (2022) for his project The Dialogue of the Dogs. A solo exhibition of this work was presented at The Francesca Maffeo Gallery (2017) and was featured in The Guardian. He was the recipient of the Jerwood Photography Award (2004) and his artist’s monograph What We Already Know was published by Ffotogallery in 2007. He is the curator of Paper Geographies, which has exhibited at Manchester’s Central Library (2020), The Arles Photography Festival, France (2022) and Format International Photography Festival in Derby (2023). He also curated and edited the exhibition and publication From Common Differences for Diffusion: The Cardiff International Festival of Photography (2013). A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and External Examiner at several UK universities, Richard has over 25 years’ experience teaching in Higher Education.
