The Secret Ballet

Abstract:

Part of Lizzie Sykes' A Place For Art Residency at Mottisont, the Secret Ballet was performed on May 5th 2015 (the Private View). This durational piece, located in an alcove of the entrance to the stable block, was co-created and performed by dancer/choreographer Cathy Seago. After spending time researching the history of the site, we used the piece to draw together notions of the exterior shapes surrounding the location coupled with ideas of making, meeting and drama that all took place here.
