Abstract:This 3 yr mixed methods study builds on previous collaborative work between BU and the charity Missing Link, on this occasion exploring the wider impact of the charity's innovative Court Support Worker Role for women within the CJS system. Findings suggest that the role is highly valued by service users, the CSW utilises a vast range of unique skills to work alongside the women she comes into contact with, strongly embracing a humanising approach in supporting and empowering the women to help themselves. This report summarises the findings from Yr 1 of the project.
