Biography

Senior Lecturer/Academic (University Practice Learning Adviser) at BU - Faculty of Health and Social Sciences.

I am a University Practice Learning Adviser (UPLA) at Bournemouth University (BU), a multifaceted, practice education focussed academic role. This roles serves as a communication conduit between the university and practice partners, including quality assuring the placement learning environments for our healthcare students.

Professionally, as an adult nurse I worked for three years within a high dependency surgical head and neck cancer unit and subsequently spent many years also working as a mental health nurse in a variety of roles within acute and community settings.

I joined BU in 2001 and spent nine years as a researcher within the faculty working on a wide variety of community based projects as a research assistant and also as a principal investigator.
