Julia's research focuses on sexuality, sexual identities, gender and mental health on an interdisciplinary level. Her interests expand to relationship dynamics within online spaces/environments. She is also interested in how identities are performed and navigated in online spaces, as well as more broadly about digital cultures. Julia has previously worked with mixed-methods designs, as well as qualitative research approaches.

Her PhD project centres around bisexual+ identities and the use of participatory, collaborative and digital methods that foster social change and community engagement.
