Biography

Matt joined Bournemouth University (BU) in 2021 after leaving his clinical role as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and developmental First Contact Practitioner Physiotherapist within NHS primary care settings. Matt has a background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, e-healthcare and informatics technologies, and digital innovation. Matt joined the Rehabilitation and Sport Science Department to work on various research projects including falls prevention and plethysmography projects. Matt continued his research contributions whilst working as Research Project Officer for the DIALOR study which continues to investigate the impact of digital coaching and digital interventions on the lifestyle management of frailty. In 2023, Matt became a full time Lecturer in Physiotherapy and Sports Therapy.
