Biography

Graduated from Carleton University with two degrees in Law and Sociology. worked and lived in the Middle East as a lecturer in higher education. During that time, I completed a MPhil from University of Glasgow. I lived and worked in the US teaching university students study skills and professional development. I joined BU in 2013 as an Academic skills development tutor for students. In addition, I lecture in various business and academic skills development units. My PhD focuses on travel as a catalyst for recovery from trauma. Future research will develop the “recovery tourism” niche explored in my PhD research.

Research

completing PhD in 2023 on a new niche tourism genre "Recovery Tourism". Well-being travel as a catalyst for recovery, recuperation from trauma, life crisis, serious illness. Hope to fill a gap in the literature with this thesis
