Biography
I am a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre of Wellbeing and Long-term Health, working on a Cancer Research UK-funded study aimed at developing videos to support the early detection of skin cancer (EDSC).
My research interest is on the complexities of disseminating information on sensitive and taboo topics, considering the influences of culture, religion, and language. I am particularly interested in how digital media can reach marginalised communities and shape their perceptions and behaviours.
I am also a Marketing and PR professional and have a proven track record of successfully driving brand growth and profitability for global and emerging clients for over two decades. My industry experience, coupled with my academic pursuits, has prompted an interest in exploring how information can be communicated effectively and ethically across diverse cultures, religions, and languages.
