Biography
Anna is a clinical academic midwife based between Bournemouth University and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Her research area of interest is the use of social media within maternity services. In 2021, she was awarded an Entry Level Scholarship for Midwives by the Wellbeing of Women in collaboration with the Royal College of Midwives and Burdett Trust for Nursing. During this, she undertook a Masters of Research, in which she began mapping the current use of social media by midwives and their views and experiences.
In 2022, she began a National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Pre-Doctoral Clinical Academic Fellowship (PCAF), in which she is advancing work within the topic and the current understanding of midwives’ use of social media.
