Biography
Aneta Postek is currently completing her PhD at Bournemouth University, where her research investigates dynamic transformations in virtual production workflows, with a particular focus on animatronics and in-camera visual effects (ICVFX). Grounded in phenomenological methodology, her project explores the lived experiences of practitioners engaging with emerging production technologies.
Aneta is a member of the Centre of Excellence in Media Practice (CEMP) and currently serves as the MA Virtual Production Lead at Solent University in Southampton. She is also a visiting tutor for MA Animation Production at the Arts University Bournemouth, and has taught across several postgraduate and undergraduate programmes at Bournemouth University, including:

She also worked as a Research Assistant at the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA), where she collaborated with Dr. Xiewen Xu and Prof. Jian Chang. This collaboration resulted in the publication of the 2023 report Understanding the Virtual Production Industry in the UK and China, and the organisation of several high-profile industry panels.
