Abstract:

Chapter 3 includes six case studies that consider innovative applications of technology to support student engagement and inclusivity. To support students to learn, we need to ensure that they engage as much as possible in their studies. However, many students need to overcome a wide range of challenges to achieve this. The case studies in this chapter include examples of microsystems to increase student engagement, technologies to support online presence and student engagement, personalization of student learning, the role of learning technologies in term of equity and social justice, and the development of solutions to help re-engage students who have low attainment.
