Abstract:

Chapter 6 includes five case studies that consider innovative applications of technology to support the student learning experience. How we use technology to support the learning experience of our students is critical in terms of adding value. The case studies in this chapter include examples of humanizing technology so that students find it more accessible, the use of creative and playful activities to offset the challenges of online teaching, the development of online pedagogic meeting spaces for PGRs, the dangers of the over-use of technology as a pedagogical approach, and the advancement of synchronous collaborative platforms for timetabled sessions and private group channels
