Abstract:This Conclusion chapter provides a high-level overview of the 32 case studies presented that collectively demonstrate how colleagues have developed a wide variety of innovative applications of technology to support their own teaching and learning activities. These examples include using animation, simulation and visualization tools to bring teaching ‘to life’ thereby helping students to understand concepts and principles that are otherwise difficult to grasp, supporting online teaching to overcome challenges for both academics and students, applying technology to drive student engagement and inclusivity, developing virtual learning environments (VLE) to facilitate learning and teaching activities within a virtual space, improving teaching standards by using technology for both delivery and assessment, and ways of enhancing the student learning experience.
