Biography

I qualified as a midwife from Bournemouth University in 2019, and have worked in a variety of roles clinically since this time, but with the majority of my time working in continuity of carer teams. In 2021 I became the Better Births midwife at the Trust which involved the roll out of continuity of carer teams with a focus on women living in areas of deprivation. I moved in the Midwifery Lecturer role in 2022 and love being involved in midwifery student education.

My interests include facilitating womens choice in maternity, improving outcomes for women living in areas of deprivation, perinatal mental health and support women with infant feeding. In my current role, I am lead for midwifery admissions, I am part of the BFI teaching team, I am an Academic PMA and am involved in offering this service to our midwifery students.
