Biography
I am a PhD student in the Faculty of Media, Science & Technology, based in the School of Psychology. Prior to beginning my doctoral studies, I completed an MSc in Investigative Forensic Psychology and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology with Forensic Investigation.
Research
My research centres on sexual offending, criminal justice responses and the application of psychological theory within operational policing environments. I primarily use qualitative methodologies, which I have employed extensively in my previous research projects.
My PhD examines how threat, harm, and risk are understood in the policing of sexual offences, with the aim of developing clearer definitions to inform policing frameworks, guidelines, assessment tools and decision-making in investigative contexts.
