Biography

I am an academic psychologist specialising in mental health, particularly perinatal mental illness and young people's mental health. I actively campaign for raising better awareness for mental health, and challenge stigma and discrimination. I serve on several local and national advisory groups for maternal mental illness. I am a Fellow of the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce). I am Patron for Dorset Mind (for whom I am also a trustee).. I am Trustee and Ambassador for DorPIP, a Dorset-based charity providing therapeutic support for parent-infant relationships. I am an advisor to Peppy Baby, a naitional company provding workplace suppprt for perinatal mental health. I am an abmbassador for Make Birth Better, a national organising supporting birth trauma.
