Abstract:Chapter 5 includes five case studies that consider innovative applications of technology to improve teaching standards. In today’s Higher Education sector there is a constant drive to improve the quality of teaching, and increasingly, technology can play an important part in this process. The case studies in this chapter include examples of using online platforms to support the assessment and feedback processes, the use of technology to evaluate student learning gain, the application of point-of-view cameras to support teaching and assessment, support for new teaching staff to help them to navigate virtual learning environments (VLE), and the implementation of a framework for digital pedagogies which has been designed to enhance student learning.
