Biography
I completed my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Koç University, Turkey, graduating in January 2021. Shortly after, I moved to the UK to study MSc in Clinical Psychology. During my MSc, I developed a strong interest in virtual reality therapies and focused my dissertation on comparing the effectiveness of virtual reality and in-vivo exposure therapies in treating social anxiety and specific phobias. In June 2023, I started my PhD. My PhD is on investigating the influence of social anxiety on embodied face perception during affective social interactions with virtual agents in virtual reality.
Research
My research interests are cognitive and affective neuroscience and clinical psychology. I am also interested in using embodied and conversational virtual agents in my studies.
