Biography
My teaching and research areas are Intellectual Property (IP) and cyber law. For IP law, I specialise in trade mark and design law. I have practice experience in trade mark sector in both China and the UK. My PhD research on the Legal Regulation of Ambush Marketing (completed in 2008) discussed about the brand protection of mega sporting events. My academic activities engage stakeholders in industry and policy making sector. Parallel to IP law, my research in cyber law area focuses more on the data protection and platform regulation. In my passionate pursuit of knowledge about new technology such as AI, I am keen to gain the insight of the impact the new technology creates on the public, and of the current and potential legal response to it.
