Biography
I obtained my Master’s degree in Health Psychology in 2023 following an undergraduate degree in Psychology at Bournemouth University. Both of my theses focused primarily on the area of public health, either in the context of physical activity or dietary behaviours and nutrition. Continuing my interest in Health Psychology, I worked as a research assistant on various projects, both qualitative and quantitative, addressing areas related to eating behaviours and nutrition (e.g., using behavioural measures, fMRI, systematic reviewing), gambling-related help-seeking behaviours in ethnic minorities or exploring the lived experience of chronic condition sufferers (Myalgic encephalomyelitis, long Covid). In 2024, I was offered a PhD studentship at Bournemouth University under the supervision of Professor Katherine Appleton and Dr Betul Tatar. The research is ongoing and focuses on reducing the consumption of free sugar intakes and improving public health.
