Biography

Preethi is an academic and an associate Interior designer accredited by the British Institute of Interior Design with a background in Design Management for the built environment. Preethi currently undertakes teaching and research within the Business School.

She is one of the primary investigators on a European-funded Interreg 2Seas project, Speed-You-Up, which aims to reduce unemployment and school dropouts amongst young people in the UK, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

She also leads Teaching in Design for Tourism and Hospitality; Fashion Business, Buying & Merchandising, Organisational Behaviour and Responsible Management for UG/PG.

Sustainable development is at the core of Preethi’s design and research. With over eight years of experience in UK higher education, Preethi's areas of expertise include Responsible Luxury, Corporate Sustainability, Design Research, Youth employability, and Sustainable entrepreneurship.
