Biography

Quynh holds an MSc in Tourism Management and a PhD in Emotional Intelligence of hospitality workers from Bournemouth University, achieved under the Vice-Chancellor Scholarship in 2010 and 2014. Quynh is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Level 4 Lead for Tourism and Hospitality undergraduate programmes. She has contributed to the accreditation and validation of Tourism and Hospitality programmes at BU and other institutions. She is currently the Link Tutor for the Transnational Education Partnership between Bournemouth University and British University Vietnam.

Building on her PhD research, Quynh is an emerging thought leader in the areas of tourism and hospitality employment, culture and service encounter. She has been working in interdisciplinary research projects investigating the intersection of emotions, culture, and racial diversity; and how this affects the interactions between employers, employees, and guests in tourism and hospitality settings.
