Biography
Yunfei is a postgraduate researcher based in the Media School, MST. Her doctoral research focuses on girls’ everyday experiences of digital play, particularly console gaming, domestic space and gendered spatial narratives. More broadly, she is interested in how marginalised groups experience spaces not designed for them, make sense of these environments, and transform them into places of their own. Her work sits at the intersection of girlhood studies, game studies, humanistic geographies and phenomenology.
