Biography

Yonghun (Principal Academic in Product Design) is an acting Deputy Head of Department and a programme leader for BA (Hons) Product Design Futures, Department of Design & Engineering, Faculty of Science & Technology. He is also a coordinator of the department's final year degree show called the Festival of Engineering & Design (FoDE).

Specializing in design for inclusion and human-centred innovation, his research underscores the dual inclusivity of products, services, systems, and built environments i.e. psychosocial inclusive design encompassing cognitive, emotion, social, value dimensions.

His research focuses on exploring individual and communal well-being and quality of life through the application of human-centred design approaches across various contexts. Yonghun has contributed to research projects sponsored by esteemed entities such as Sainsbury’s, Motability, Heathrow Airport Ltd., and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
