Biography

Yonghun is the Deputy Head of Department and the programme leader for BA (Hons) Product Design Futures within the Department of Design & Engineering, in the Faculty of Science & Technology. Additionally, he fulfills the role of coordinator for the department's final year degree show, known as the Festival of Engineering & Design (FoDE).

His expertise lies in human-centered design innovation, with a particular focus on fostering psychosocial inclusivity in design. This encompasses dimensions such as Cognitive, Emotional, Social, and Value constructs. His research endeavours are dedicated to enhancing both individual and communal well-being, as well as improving the quality of life across diverse contexts.

Yonghun has made significant contributions to various research projects sponsored by esteemed entities such as Sainsbury’s, Motability, Heathrow Airport Ltd., and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
