Research

I have a long-standing interest in serious games, cultural heritage, XR technologies, assistive technology, UX, HDR imaging, image and video quality assessment, visual perception and attention, computer graphics, and cross-modal interaction in which I have been a published author.

I am currently running a research project with Noho Ltd, Dublin exploring the multi-user Extended Reality (XR) experience in collaborative cultural heritage applications. I was a PI for a HEIF (Research England) funded project "Feeling the UNfelt (FUN) looking at assistive technology for accessible digital environments with a haptic interface for children with physical disabilities. I participated in two large-scale EU projects as a Management Committee member, General Assembly member and researcher. In addition, I participated in a number of small- and medium scale projects and had successful collaborations with both industry and museums.
