In addition, Vedad is the Output Champion for UoA11 (Computer Science and Informatics) in the preparations for REF 2021. He worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Télécom ParisTech in Paris, France and as an Assistant Professor at the University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has a PhD in Engineering from the University of Warwick, UK and a first degree in Computer Science from the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has a long-standing interest in serious games, cultural heritage, VR/AR technologies, assistive technology, high dynamic range imaging, image and video quality assessment, visual perception and attention, computer graphics, and cross-modal interaction in which he has been a published author. He participated in two large-scale EU projects and a number of small- and medium-scale research projects and is a PI for a HEIF (Research England) funded project "Feeling the UNfelt (FUN): Assistive Technology accessible digital environments with a haptic interface"... Vedad is the recipient of the Vice Chancellor Scholarship, University of Warwick, UK, and two awards for the best paper at internationally recognised conferences. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
moreResearch
I have a long-standing interest in serious games, cultural heritage, VR/AR technologies, assistive technology, high dynamic range imaging, image and video quality assessment, visual perception and attention, computer graphics, and cross-modal interaction in which I have been a published author.
I participated in two large-scale EU projects as a Management Committee member, General Assembly member and a researcher. I am currently leading a research project looking at Assistive Technology accessible digital environments with a haptic interface for children with physical disabilities.
In addition, I participated in a number of small- and medium scale projects and had successful collaborations with both industry and museums.
