Biography

Jiankang Zhang (S’08-M’12-SM’18) received the B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in Communication and Information Systems from Zhengzhou University in 2012. Dr. Zhang is a Senior Lecturer at Bournemouth University. Prior to joining in Bournemouth University, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, UK. Dr Zhang was a lecturer from 2012 to 2013 and then an associate professor from 2013 to 2014 at Zhengzhou University. From 2009 to 2011, Dr. Zhang was a visiting PhD student in the School of Electronics and Computer Science, the University of Southampton, UK. His research interests are in the areas of massive MIMO, aeronautical communications, optimization algorithms and edge computing. He is an Associate Editor for the IEEE ACCESS.
