Biography

I am a Registered Nutritionist (AfN) and Senior Lecturer in Nutrition at Bournemouth University, researching the intersections of minority and underrepresented populations in nutrition, health, and higher education.

My research explores structural barriers to healthcare, nutrition, and education, with a focus on menopause, pregnancy, and reproductive health. I am available for collaborative research and student research opportunities including MRes & PhD in projects connected to these areas of interest. My current projects explore LGBTQ+ breastfeeding experiences, LGBTQ+ visibility in higher education, nutrition before pregnancy and single fathers’ roles in childhood nutrition.

As Chair of the Bournemouth University PRIDE Network 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️, I advocate for inclusivity within academia. I also currently co-lead the INFORMeD Wessex Health Partners funded project connecting nutrition professionals in Wessex. I am passionate about evidence-based, inclusive solutions and strive to inform policies that drive meaningful change in public health and education...
