Biography

I am a Registered Nutritionist (AfN) and Senior Lecturer in Nutrition at Bournemouth University, researching the intersections of underrepresented populations in nutrition, health, and higher education.

I am the co-lead the Wessex Nutrition Research Network connecting Nutrition professionals in Wessex.

I am available for collaborative research and postgraduate research opportunities including MRes & PhD in projects. Some of my current projects explore LGBTQ+ breastfeeding experiences, LGBTQ+ visibility in higher education, nutrition before pregnancy, family based nutritional approaches to healthy weight and eating in Black African families with children in the UK (PhD researcher Lovelyn Lehman) and single fathers’ roles in childhood nutrition (MSc researcher Jackie Seely)

As Chair of the Bournemouth University PRIDE Network 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️, I advocate for inclusivity within academia. I am passionate about evidence-based, inclusive solutions and strive to inform policies that drive meaningful change in public health and education...
